In 2016, Taco Bell and the Taco Bell Foundation launched the Live Más Scholarship, a program aimed at empowering the nation’s next generation of dreamers, innovators and creators – those whose passions don’t fall into the conventional “academic” or “athletic” qualifying categories of traditional scholarship programs.

After awarding scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $25,000 to 220 youth.  Taco Bell wanted to hear from the winners themselves to see what they thought about winning a Live Más Scholarship!

Yum! China’s Hunger Initiative, “Donate One Yuan”, Project received the 2016 CSR Excellence Award at the “Invest in Green Future” Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Awards Ceremony and Summit in Shanghai.

Since the project’s launch 8 years ago, a total of $19 million USD (130 million yuan) has been donated to aid 185,000 under-privileged students with 30 million meals.

KFC UK M​akes a D​ifference at S​unemployment R​oadshow

KFC UK added hope to more than 70 people at the 2016 Sunemployment Roadshow, a job fair campaign from one of the UK’s biggest newspapers created to place long-term unemployed people into jobs. The UK team has supported the roadshow for five years running and participated in the 2016 campaign’s three job fairs.

Many of these 70 new hires are coming out of hardships or disadvantaged backgrounds within the communities KFC stores are located.
