Bloomberg offers a suite of ESG data, tools and research on the terminal. The newest addition is the Water Risk Valuation Tool – a practical, high-level demonstration tool that illustrates how water risk can be incorporated into company valuation models. With a focus on gold and copper mining companies, the tool models potential asset stranding based on conditions of future physical water scarcity, and estimates the effects of this water risk factor on earnings and share price.

The tool was developed in partnership with the Natural Capital Declaration (managed by the UNEP Finance Initiative and Global Canopy Programme), with support from Bloomberg Philanthropies and the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).
