Hello Columbus – Sustainability Lunch & Learn June 21st
I’m heading to Columbus, Ohio, for the official opening of Arrow’s newly automated facility for processing electronics at end of life.
I’m hoping to turn this into an opportunity to meet sustainability leaders in the greater Columbus area. Here in Boston, I co-organize the Boston Area Sustainability Group, knowing that continuing to connect with other sustainability folks is critical to our mutual success. As the lead author of Green IT For Dummies, I’ve been focused on Sustainable Electronics for the past 8 years. Prior to leading Arrow Value Recovery’s sustainability strategy, I worked as an IT Industry analyst, focused on Green IT and Sustainability. My background includes a strong focus on innovation, and my books, including The Internet For Dummies, have been translated into more than 30 languages, with more than 7 million copies sold.
Please join me for lunch and a discussion of “Electronics in the Circular Economy” on Tuesday, June 21st. In conjunction with the open house celebrating our new automated processing capabilities, I’ll be conducting three sessions to talk about the whole life cycle of electronics from a sustainability perspective. Electronics are a vital part of sustainability solutions, but not enough attention is given to making electronics sustainable. We’ll talk about what’s in electronics, and electronics design, purchase, use, and end-of-life options that further sustainability goals.
In addition, I’d love to learn from you about your sustainability goals and initiatives.

If Tuesday the 21st isn’t possible for you but you’d like to get together while I’m in Columbus, please e-mail me to see if we can coordinate a time. And if you have plans to be in the Boston Area, please let me know. I look forward to meeting you.
