ING Foundation Focuses on Financial Empowerment

Financial empowerment is a central focus for the ING Foundation—and a natural extension of the ING brand, “Your Future. Made Easier.” The ING Foundation is committed to creating, funding and supporting programs that empower our customers and communities, and to deliver knowledge, encouragement, skills, and opportunity that can make a lasting difference in their lives.

As we recognize Financial Literacy Awareness Month in April, we are doing just that through our signature program, The ING-Girls Inc. Investment Challenge, and our partnership with Operation HOPE to deliver the Banking on Our Future College Edition to over 20 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
We understand that money management is a critical life skill, and the earlier our youth get exposure to it, the better. Through the ING-Girls Inc. Investment Challenge and Banking on Our Future College Edition, ING employees are volunteering to help teach lesson plans to young girls in select Girls Inc. affiliates and college students at HBCUs about money management, including grounding them in fundamental investing principles and practices.
We believe we are harnessing our market knowledge, experience, skills and solutions that underlie our business, including our employees’ expertise, caring spirit and energy to maximize our social impact, helping to ensure others acquire the critical money management skills they need to obtain a better financial future.
