Rockwell Automation's Dawn Cappelli Partners With FBI to Teach Families About Internet Safety

May 13, 2021 5:10 PM ET

Rockwell Automation Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer Dawn Cappelli is teaming up with the FBI to promote and deliver free safety webinars for families on June 4 and 11.

“So many of us are quick to embrace the latest technologies that it can be shocking to discover who’s really ‘behind the curtain’ accessing our data – especially on the devices our kids and grandchildren have access to,” said Cappelli. “It may not be who you think.”

The first webinar is called “Are Kids Safe Online?” and will take place at 10:00 a.m. CDT on June 4.  It explores security risks that come with online activities that are popular with kids, including online gaming and social media, citing real examples from the FBI. To participate, click here.

Cappelli will host the second webinar, “Cyber Threats, Trends, the FBI’s Role and Cyber Advice,” on June 11 at 10:00 a.m. CDT.  The webinar provides tips and tricks to prevent personal data breaches from common household technology devices. To participate, click here.
