Four ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston Plants Again Earn ENERGY STAR Certification

Plants Achieve Best-in-Class Performance to Maintain ENERGY STAR Certification

EAGLE, Idaho, December 4, 2012 /3BL Media/ - Employee commitment to corporate citizenship has again earned four ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston plants ENERGY STAR® certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA awards the ENERGY STAR—one of the most recognized green marks in the world—to plants achieving best-in-class performance, based on the EPA’s Energy Performance Indicator (EPI).

Lamb Weston plants in Boardman, Ore., Park Rapids, Minn., and Richland and Quincy, Wash. received ENERGY STAR re-certification for 2012.

So the timing was excellent for today’s dedication ceremony for the Shiloh IV Wind Project in Solano County. This 102.5 megawatt facility will begin delivering clean, renewable energy to PG&E in December—enough to serve the needs of about 40,000 average homes.

OMAHA, Neb., Sept. 26, 2012 /3BL Media / PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Union Pacific Railroad achieved its best-ever performance in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) S&P 500 Climate Change Report 2012.  The railroad's carbon disclosure score is 87, a 53-percent improvement over last year and higher than 87 percent of all companies to which Union Pacific is compared in the CDP's Industrial Sector. The average disclosure score is 70 for all S&P 500 companies in the 2012 CDP report.
