College establishes new Measurement and Instrumentation Lab to support education of under-represented minority talent
The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering today announced that Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, has donated electronic engineering measurement equipment to establish a new Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory.
In the wake of the recent winter storm in Texas, Stanley Black & Decker announced a donation of $500,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Giving Program.
Funds will be used to support immediate needs in Texas, along with future disasters throughout the country. The company will also be donating to the North Texas Food Bank and Genesis Women’s Shelter to assist residents in Texas who are struggling to meet basic needs.

For more than 10 years, ON Semiconductor has been sponsoring a holiday gift-giving event at Academia del Pueblo Elementary School in Phoenix, Arizona. Academia del Pueblo (AdP) is a Title 1 school catering to a diverse student body from Pre-K to eighth grade. In prior years, employees had personally provided gifts for each student from Pre-K to fifth grade, based on the students’ letters to Santa.
In so many ways, 2020 was a challenging year, one that pushed our society to its limits. And yet, it also provided us with an opportunity – really an obligation – to deepen and accelerate our commitment to equity, inclusion, and our communities. Collectively and individually, we had to confront hard truths and reconcile our role within them. It provides a wide range of inpatient, semi-inpatient and outpatient services, as well as in day-care centers for children between the ages of two weeks and 10 years, and their families. In addition, Salberghaus also helps these families with other child needs such as diapers, care products, etc. Currently, there are 65 children living at its facility.
