$170,000 grants will fill critical gap for 3,000 food insecure families in Greater Boston via Food For Free’s new grocery box program
Cambridge, Mass., February 24, 2021 /3BL Media/ – Life Science Cares Boston and the Biogen Foundation have teamed up as inaugural sponsors of Food For Free’s new Just Eats Grocery Box program, a $170,000 effort to reduce food insecurity for 3,000 area families, starting this month. To launch Just Eats, Life Science Cares, the life science industry platform for giving back, has committed $50,000, and the Biogen Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Cambridge-based neuroscience pioneer Biogen Inc.

KFC arrived in Italy at the end of 2014 and from the very beginning the company worked on figuring out how to activate the Harvest Program in our market as a pillar of the CSR commitment. As a quick service restaurant brand our focus on CSR addresses topics related to food, as well as fighting hunger and reduce food waste– Harvest addresses both.

Automaker Empowers Local Food Bank Meal Distribution and Loans Eight Vehicles to Food Banks in South Jersey and the Greater Philadelphia Area
CAMDEN, N.J., February 16, 2021 /3BL Media/– Subaru of America, Inc. today announced that as part of its ongoing partnership with Feeding America®, the automaker will loan eight vehicles to member food banks local to their Camden, NJ headquarters, Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ) and Philabundance.
As quarantines and stay-at-home orders put people out of work and closed schools in the first few months of 2020, food banks around the world began to see a dramatic increase in need for food. International Paper, a leading producer of fiber-based packaging, pulp and paper, quickly responded with a commitment to donate two million corrugated boxes to food banks in its communities. As the year drew to a close, team members in the company's Anaheim, Ca. box plant produced the final 5,000 boxes of their commitment.
