PG&E and the nonprofit Running Start have awarded scholarships to three San Francisco Bay Area high school girls to attend a political summit for young women in Washington, D.C., this weekend.

The scholarship winners will join 300 young women, ages 14 to 35, from around the country for the organization’s Young Women’s Political Summit from July 12-14. The summit is an opportunity for attendees to hone their leadership skills and strengthen their connections in the political world.
