There have always been female warriors, and Women’s History Month is an appropriate time to remember them. While many civilians are aware that the number of women on active duty in all branches of service has risen dramatically, few know the extent of women’s service to our country, particularly in combat roles.
World Water Day 2017 asks the question "Why Waste Water?" and highlights the linkages between water, wastewater, and sustainable development. To address the increasing needs of these customers directly, Albertsons Companies has expanded its Eating Healthy with Diabetes food tours to help more people proactively manage their health.
On March 2, 2017, The Texas Appleseed Board of Directors hosted a reception to honor Weatherford for the Company’s partnership in creating the Texas Homeless Youth Handbook.
In a joint pro bono effort, Weatherford, Texas Appleseed and Baker & McKenzie partnered to create a guide to help homeless youth better understand their legal rights, responsibilities and resources. Texas is the fourth state in the U.S. to have this particular resource, found at www.homelessyouth.org/texas.
