Ally Surprises Miami-Area Kids with New Bikes for the Holidays

Bike building event at Ally’s leadership training conference highlights the importance of giving back to the community

MIAMI, December 7, 2016 /3BL Media/- Ally Financial today joined with local nonprofit organizations to build and donate bikes to Miami children for the holidays. The bike building event was part of a leadership training conference for auto dealers, called Ally Automotive Leadership Academy. During the conference, more than 100 people gathered to hear a panel of dealers and Ally representatives discuss the importance of giving back to their communities and then divided into groups to assemble 22 bikes.

From October 29 to November 5, Team Members at Marina Bay Sands supported The Purple Parade, a movement that supports the inclusion and celebrates the abilities of persons with special needs.  During the week, Team Members supported the cause by taking photos of themselves dressed in purple and the company pledged its support to raise awareness of this campaign by turning its three towers purple.

It is the start of the annual holiday season. In the United States, we have a day for getting deals (Black Friday), a day to support local businesses (Small Business Saturday), and a day to buy goodies while shopping online (Cyber Monday).

Then, we have #GivingTuesday — celebrated annually the first Tuesday after the Thanksgiving holiday — a day for “doing good” through the power of social media and collaboration. In its fifth year, #GivingTuesday is becoming a global phenomenon among philanthropists and techies alike.
