LAKELAND, Fla., April 21, 2021 /3BL Media/ — In continuation of its commitment to water stewardship, Publix is contributing $2 million to remove invasive trees and plants in 1,000 acres of wetland in the Florida Everglades. These trees and plants use more than their share of water, interrupting Florida’s natural water system. The company is funding projects at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and the saline glades in Everglades National Park that will restore the health of these habitats and return an estimated 174 million gallons of water per year to the local environment.

EcoStruxure Resource Advisor implemented across manufacturing facility
Mondelēz Bahrain Biscuits has implemented a new, cloud-based technology that will help the company efficiently monitor and help reduce the company’s use of electricity, water, and natural gas at its Bahrain factory. Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Resource Advisor will help the operations team measure and manage energy and sustainability initiatives. EcoStruxure Resource Advisor gives the Facility’s management a real-time view of energy and water usage, allowing them to compare this data with their sustainability targets and benchmark against other Mondelez factories.

With the partnership entering its 11th year, the two organizations have committed to deliver community-level clean water projects across eight countries in 2021 – reaching a combined total of 18,000 people in Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Mexico, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
