The University of Michigan Electric Boat (UM-EB) racing team is propelling the next generation of the naval industry forward with Cadence CFD tools, including Fine Marine. The marine industry currently accounts for about 6% of global C02 emissions and UM-EB is looking to decarbonize the marine industry, and relying on Cadence to help investigate their current design and figure out areas they can improve. Using the Cadence OnCloud suite and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software allows the team to understand and begin characterizing flow around their boat in a very quantitative manner. Learn more about their mission to decarbonize the industry and get the world closer to net zero carbon emissions.
