Thinking Green As We Make Change Happen on Comcast Cares Day

Every year on Comcast Cares Day, our employees get their hands dirty to give back to their communities – and this year was no exception.

At so many of our 1,200 community service projects that were part of our 17th Comcast Cares Day, our employees and other volunteers – a record 115,000 turned out – worked to make a positive impact and inspire environmental responsibility in all we do.

This year’s planting efforts at Bartram’s Garden in our corporate hometown of Philadelphia is a great example of our broader sustainability efforts.

Comcast NBCUniversal’s corporate commitment to sustainability is long-term and wide-reaching, touching areas across our footprint. We have an opportunity to make a difference. Partnerships like the one we enjoy with Bartram’s Garden inspire us all to be more environmentally responsible in our daily lives. To keep the Comcast Cares Day momentum going, we encourage our teams to get involved in local community improvement activities year-round. By joining together, our goal of dedicating 500,000 volunteer hours to green projects by 2020 is within reach.
