TWC Green Fleet Continues to Make Progress and Gain Attention

One year ago, Time Warner Cable announced that we joined the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Clean Cities’ National Clean Fleet Partnership.  In an Untangled blog, I shared the progress we have made with making our truck fleet more environmentally friendly.

To provide an update on our progress, we recently spoke to leaders from TWC’s Fleet Team and the National Clean Fleets Partnership about the impact that TWC’s commitment is making as more TWC fuel efficient vehicles hit the road from coast to coast.

Our commitment to greening our fleet continues to gain attention.  Recently, our fleet received accreditation from the NAFA Fleet Management Association as a NAFA Sustainable Fleet for successfully demonstrating that TWC has a credible sustainability plan in place and that real, meaningful progress is being made toward reducing our total emissions and the negative environmental impact made by extraneous carbon fuel usage. We’re proud to be one of NAFA’s very first sustainable fleets.

The commitments we’ve made to our fleet over the past year were recognized again just this week.  The US Chamber of Commerce Foundation announced its 2015 Corporate Citizenship Awards, naming TWC a finalist for the Best Environmental Stewardship Program.  We’re joined by MGM Resorts International and Shell Oil Company as finalists.
