FORT WORTH, Texas, February 19, 2021, /3BL Media/ — In response to the devastating winter weather that continues to impact the Central United States and beyond, American Airlines has activated its disaster response giving platform, allowing customers and team members to assist American Red Cross efforts in Texas and beyond.

American is a long-standing national partner of the Red Cross, which has fully activated its resources to aid winter storm victims struggling without power or water. From now through Feb. 28, 2021, AAdvantage® members can earn 10 miles for every dollar donated to the Red Cross with a minimum $25 donation. Visit the Red Cross website to donate now.

Travel alerts for 60 airports are also in place to allow customers whose travel plans are impacted by winter storms Uri and Viola flexibility to rebook without change fees. Customers can reschedule their travel on aa.com or by contacting Reservations at 800-433-7300 in the United States or Canada.
