Celebrating Senior Community Engagement Professionals for Excellence and Stewardship of Companies
NEW YORK, May 4, 2015 /3BL Media/ - CECP, a coalition of 150 CEOs united in the belief that societal improvement is an essential measure of business performance, launched the applications for The Charles H. Moore Award for Leadership in Corporate Community Engagement. This award celebrates a corporate community engagement professional who demonstrates perseverance in the pursuit of societal advancement and provides a platform for companies to share their stories about addressing societal challenges and developing business strategies through purpose.
The application deadline is June 30, 2015 at 11:59 PM EDT. CECP encourages individuals from large companies--not only CECP-affiliated companies--to apply for this recognition. Applications for The Charles H. Moore Award are available online and require a nomination from a peer professional at a for-profit organization. Part of CECP’s Force for Good honors platform, the award is given to a leading corporate giving professional with a distinguished record of service in corporate societal engagement at a for-profit company with annual revenues in excess of $2 billion.
In 2014 CECP presented its first annual Charles H. Moore Award to Eileen Howard Boone, Senior Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility & Philanthropy, CVS Caremark and President, CVS Caremark Charitable Trust at the annual CECP Summit held in New York City for 250 corporate giving officers. CECP will be announce this year’s winner in front of fellow peers at the upcoming CECP Summit on May 19th at the Time Warner Center.
In addition to recognition at the annual Summit, The Charles H. The Force for Good honor categories include:
- Founders celebrates outstanding leadership by a CEO that has made the world a better place through business.
- Collaboration celebrates excellence by a CEO in leading an NGO-corporate partnership or corporate coalition.
- Lawrence A. Wien Legacy celebrates a graduate CEO who has made an impact in furthering corporate societal engagement in his or her years as a CEO and beyond.
- Pacesetter celebrates a CEO from a smaller company who has successfully integrated purpose into the business model.
- The Charles H. Moore Award for Leadership in Corporate Community Engagement celebrates a corporate community engagement professional who demonstrates perseverance in the pursuit of societal advancement.
CECP’s recognition of excellence program has a long history. CECP has hosted the Excellence Awards, recognizing leading corporate signature programs, for the last 15 years. In 2014, CECP introduced the Force for Good honors including the Force for Good CEO honors and the Charlie Moore Award, which recognize individual excellence in societal engagement. These honors are part of CECP’s broader recognition of excellence that celebrates companies in a way that is most meaningful for them.
