Kansas City, MO, July 9, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Michael Seiman, the chief executive officer and co-founder of the global digital media company CPXi, has helped fund a major renovation of a Children International community center in Colombia. The newly renovated CPXi Community Center will provide vital services to nearly 5,000 children and youth.

In the early 2000’s, while Seiman was still a college student at Hofstra University in New York, he co-founded the CPXi company, originally called BUDS. The company focuses on connecting consumers with brands by providing multi-screen messaging and leveraging display, social, mobile and video advertising. While building this business in college, he also became a sponsor to a young boy in the Dominican Republic through Children International. As his business grew, so did his involvement with the child-focused humanitarian organization.

In 2010, Seiman and his colleagues at BUDS decided to work with Children International to build a community center in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The BUDS Community Center includes a medical and dental clinic, pharmacy, library and computer room, and is currently providing services to over 10,000 children and youth.

“It was so successful and so inspiring for us, we thought, why not do it again with CPXi?” Seiman said.

Seiman and his colleagues at CPXi decided to help fund a rebuild of an already existing center in Barranquilla, Colombia. The renovation included increasing the size of the community center and updating the facilities. One exciting addition to the community center is the Discovery Room, funded by the employees of CPXi, which provides children and youth with a safe, fun space filled with books and computers to enhance their education.

In addition to the major renovation, CPXi held a sponsorship drive at their New York City and Seattle offices, providing employees the opportunity to sponsor a child who will benefit from the new CPXi Community Center. Seiman and his wife, Emily, have been generous supporters of Children International for many years, and they currently sponsor 13 children in seven different countries themselves.

“Children International empowers poor children, ensuring they have the skills and abilities they need to escape poverty and become self-sufficient adults,” Seiman said. “It is amazing what Children International is able to do with my donations and the gifts of others to impact the lives of children around the world. I am proud to be a part of the work Children International is doing.”

Seiman is dedicated to his involvement with Children International and is currently serving as a member of the organization’s Advisory Council.
