Enterprise Rent-A-Car is now offering Nissan’s new LEAF, an electric vehicle, at its location in Santa Monica, California. Enterprise has announced plans to add 500 LEAF EVs this year at select locations throughout its network, and through its WeCar car-sharing program. In addition, Enterprise is the first car rental company to offer rentals of the Chevrolet Volt extended-range EV.
The White House has announced a new World Environment Center initiative in Chile. The project is a public/private partnership for small and medium-sized Chilean enterprises to implement cleaner and more energy efficient technologies to reduce waste, carbon emissions, energy consumption, and business costs. During the two-year project, WEC will work with Chileoliva, an industry association of Chilean olive oil companies, and use WEC’s “Greening the Supply Chain” initiative to improve sustainable performance.
