Oracle has announced an environmental sustainability tool, designed to help manufacturers, commercial facilities, data centers, and campuses manage sustainability initiatives. The new Sustainability Sensor Data Management software expands Oracle’s Manufacturing Operations Center to help organizations monitor their energy usage, greenhouse gas emissions, and other environmental impacts. The new software will significantly reduce energy consumption for both manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies.
Verso Paper has received the Sustainable Forestry Initiative President’s Award for its partnership efforts to promote sustainable forest management in Maine. In 2008, Verso provided a two-year grant to the Trust to Conserve Northeast Forestlands to make third-party certification more accessible and affordable for small landowners in a six-state region in the Northeast.
