November 13, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Driven Experience Driven to Fight Cancer trophy truck will be parading Contingency Row in Ensenada and then starting the 47th annual Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 today, Thursday November 12th.  The #29 Driven Experiences truck will start 21st off the line. Andrew Hendricks is the driver of record with Jeff Humberson, Chuck Dempsey and Erick Jacobs sharing the driving for the approximately 1,275 miles from Ensenada to La Paz in Baja California.  Race tracking can be found at www.facebook.com/drivenexperiences or www.score-international.com.

The significance of the race for this team is the conclusion of their first Driven To Fight Cancer campaign benefitting the American Cancer Society.  If you haven’t yet pledged to be part of the Baja1000 team, you can now through the finish of the race: www.DrivenToFightCancer.com. “The American Cancer Society is ecstatic to work with Driven to Fight Cancer and Driven Experiences.  Together, we look forward to finishing the fight against cancer and celebrating more birthdays,” said Christi Erickson, vice president of corporate and distinguished partners at the American Cancer Society.

“We are excited to see the green flag and race into Baja!  We have already put a lot of miles on the truck between the IMEX Show, SEMA Show and the Cattle Baron’s Ball to arrive here in Baja with another warm welcome.  Everyone at some level is affected by Cancer, and it has become even more obvious as we talk to those around us,” said Chuck Dempsey, Driven Experiences Race Director.  “We really want people to join our team and cheer us on for the Baja 1000.  We are all campaigning for the same thing: A Cure.  We sincerely appreciate everyone’s donations and time to help spread the message.”

To add another level of appreciation towards your donation, Driven to Fight Cancer has added a set of podium gifts.  In every race there is a podium of three winners, so we gathered three awesome prizes to give away in a random email drawing after the race when the official Baja 1000 winners are announced.  Anyone who donates via the Driven to Fight Cancer program with an email address will be entered to win one of three prizes: The grand prize will be a two-day stay at Gateway Canyons Resort spending one day at the Driven Experiences school, and a second day enjoying the beautiful Colorado scenery after choosing between one of the fast and classy cars in the Driven Rentals program.  The second email randomly picked will win a one-day Driven Experiences school opportunity, and the third email randomly picked will receive a Go-Pro Hero4 camera.  All you have to do to enter is donate through our program online, or at an event, and opt into winning with your email address.

Driven Experiences properly teach clients how to navigate off-road jumps, bumps and rough terrain on their 2-mile course located in Gateway, Colorado. Driven Experiences is the only arrive-and-drive school that provides the knowledge and information needed to really understand the profession of sitting behind the wheel of a Pro-Baja Truck.  Driven Experiences is also offering offsite options of touring or racing through the Baja or California deserts.  The classroom training starts based on any skill level and offers the full service opportunity to get the client to the finish line and into the winners circle.

Gateway Canyon Resort is located an hour Southwest of Grand Junction, named the “Best Adventure Resort in Colorado” by “Best of TV” in 2009. In addition to the Driven Experiences opportunity, additional resort activities include: Dolores River Adventure, Horseback Riding, Off-Road Touring, Air Tours and a complete Gateway Auto Museum.

The American Cancer Society is a global grassroots force of more than three million volunteers saving lives and fighting for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. As the largest voluntary health organization, the Society's efforts have contributed to a 20 percent decline in cancer death rates in the U.S. since 1991, and a 50 percent drop in smoking rates. Thanks in part to our progress nearly 14 million Americans who have had cancer and countless more who have avoided it will celebrate more birthdays this year. As we celebrate more than 100 years of service, we're determined to finish the fight against cancer. We're finding cures as the nation’s largest private, not-for-profit investor in cancer research, ensuring people facing cancer have the help they need and continuing the fight for access to quality health care, lifesaving screenings, clean air, and more.
