Kashi Launches Spoons Across America Facebook Campaign; Cisco’s Santa Connection Program Brings Cheer to Children’s Hospitals Across the Country - Health Minute for December 17, 2012
Kashi has launched Spoons Across America, its latest Facebook campaign, as a source of children’s culinary education. The new campaign is part of a long-term initiative, the Kashi REAL Project, which promotes nonprofits that help more people enjoy real food through greater access and education. Through this Friday, December 20th, the company will donate $10 to the organization, up to $35,000 for each person who helps share the message of Spoons Across America via Kashi’s Facebook page.
This week, Cisco’s Santa Connection Program will finish its virtual visits to 30 children’s hospitals across the country. The company’s annual cyber Santa initiative allows hospitalized children to remotely connect and communicate with Mr. Claus using Cisco’s video collaboration technologies. Santa will visit patients using either an iPad or a video monitor and web-enabled camera. For children who can’t leave their rooms, a mobile cart or an iPad enabled with Cisco Jabber software will help Santa travel room to room for bedside visits.
