The Novartis Malaria Initiative convenes global experts to empower African communities to deliver sustainable malaria health care. With support from the Roll Back Malaria Partnership, Novartis has constructed a workshop program that shares best practices about efforts to combat malaria. This year’s workshop was held in Ethiopia to highlight the progress made in that country in the management of the disease.
The Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association’s Sustainability Resource Center has released its first guide for the retail sector. The “Waste and Recycling” module helps facilities managers take control of recycling programs. PRSM members include Cumberland Farms, Procter and Gamble, Crate and Barrel, and Aeropostale.
The first-ever Top 100 Women Leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math publication includes ITT CEO and President Denise Ramos. The list celebrates the careers and initiatives of women leaders who are role models in the STEM workforce.
