PT Freeport Indonesia, a Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold company, has success with its Biodiesel Project

February 19, 2013 /3BL Media/ - PT Freeport Indonesia inaugurated their biodiesel fueling station, which processes used cooking oil from the mess halls, cafeterias and homes in and near the mining operations in Papua, Indonesia. The fueling station currently serves light vehicles and the target is that heavy equipment will also utilize the biodiesel fuel.

Biodiesel production at PT Freeport Indonesia has reached 500 to 900 liters per month and production is increasing. Low emissions from biodiesel fuels will help to support a healthy working environment.
