Wild Planet is a California-based sustainable seafood company. The company works closely with environmental organizations, like the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch® program, to produce the highest quality wild seafood, exclusively sourced from sustainable fisheries. Supplying customers with quality enhanced products that provide greater nutrition and reduced contaminants while employing fishing practices which preserve precious marine resources, Wild Planet has established itself as an exemplary leader in the seafood industry. Earlier this year, Greenpeace ranked Wild Planet #1 in its commitment to sustainability.
“When looking to fund the growth of our working capital, we sought a consortium of lenders that were in alignment with our sustainability mission” says Terry Hunt, CEO of Wild Planet Foods. “RSF’s work benefits many private businesses that have committed themselves to environmental conservation and who are able to show both environmental and economic results. As such, RSF is a perfect fit for Wild Planet.”
RSF Social Finance is the lender of choice for values-driven social enterprise in the areas of Food & Agriculture, Education & the Arts, and Ecological Stewardship. Borrowers not only receive financing to meet their capital needs through a close relationship with RSF, each becomes part of a larger community working to transform the way the world works with money.
