NEW YORK, April 17, 2013 /3BL Media/ - Two hundred and fifty senior leaders in corporate societal engagement will convene to get out of their comfort zones and connect with likeminded peers to enhance their companies’ strategies to address today’s most pressing societal issues. CECP’s annual CECP Summit will take place on June 4th and 5th, with a welcome reception on June 3rd at the Time Warner Headquarters in New York City. Attendees will hear from leading activists and academicians – including Dr Manuel Pastor of the University of Southern California and Bob Woodruff of ABC News– as well as non-profit leaders and the foremost corporate giving officers.

This event will present the first look at the analysis of 2012 corporate giving trends data and announce the winner of the 2013 Directors’ Award, which recognizes the partnership between a non-profit and its corporate partner. Additionally, there will be a discussion among the 2013 Excellence Awards winners – including a panel with Jen Crozier of IBM and Chris Lambe of The Mosaic Company, as well as a CEO of a national nonprofit to be revealed at the Summit.

Keynote speaker Dr. Manuel Pastor, Professor of Sociology and American Studies & Ethnicity, University of Southern California, will discuss what fast-changing demographics mean for grant-makers.

“We know every year we hold this CECP member only event that our members walk away with a pocket full of business cards, a notebook jam-packed with ideas, and a head full of innovations to bring back to their companies,” stated Daryl Brewster, CEO, CECP. “This unique gathering is a time for leaders in corporate community engagement to reflect on their companies’ commitments and to learn from others to advance their strategies and approaches”.

A keynote panel discussion will focus on Reintegrating Returning Veterans moderated by Bob Woodruff, Correspondent of ABC News and Founder of Bob Woodruff Foundation. The panelists include Duncan Niederauer, CEO of NYSE Euronext and Jacob Wood, Co-Founder and President of Team Rubicon, discussing the challenges and opportunities in welcoming home our nation’s heroes, 10 years after the war in Iraq began.

Additional sessions will include The Power of Storytelling for Social Change, Emerging Trends in Corporate Giving Data, Top Talent: Key Competencies of Tomorrow’s Leaders, Adapting Signature Programs to New Realities, Corporate Collaboration, Global Giving Structures, Innovative Models for Achieving Impact, Leveraging Partnerships to Advance Your Objectives, Listening for Greater Impact, and more.
