(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) New York, NY - October 5, 2010 - CancerCare, a co-founder of the original Breast Cancer Awareness Week in 1985, is partnering with a number of generous and compassionate companies this October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The promotions below offer consumers a variety of ways to support Cancer Care’s free, professional support services for people affected by cancer, including counseling, financial assistance, education, and practical advice.

In addition to its general services, CancerCare offers a number of services specific to those affected by breast cancer. CancerCare, in partnership with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure offers a toll-free helpline for anyone facing a breast cancer diagnosis: 1-877-GO-KOMEN (1-877-465-6636). Additionally, in partnership with the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, CancerCare also provides a helpline for any woman diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer: 1-877-880-TNBC (1-877-880-8622).   Consumers throughout the country can learn more about how to participate and lend support in-stores and online at www.cancercare.org/support_us/october.php.   Shake, Share & Care with the Tic Tac® Brand Tic Tac mints are bringing back two well-loved traditions this Fall – the Shake, Share & Care campaign, and the limited-edition Pink Grapefruit Tic Tac flavor. Simply visit the new Tic Tac USA Facebook page and post an act of caring (anything you’ve done for someone affected by cancer) on the Share & Care tab. For each person that posts, Tic Tac mints will donate $5 to CancerCare, up to $100,000* (in addition to the $100,000 the brand has already donated). And look for the limited-edition Pink Grapefruit flavor in stores near you. A portion of the proceeds support CancerCare’s free support services for those affected by cancer. *Only one donation per person/per act of caring. Minimum guaranteed donation of $25,000, up to $100,000.   2011 SHOW US YOUR BRA!™ CALENDAR For more than 20 years, CancerCare has held Prosthesis Clinics, providing free breast prostheses and post-mastectomy bras for women living with and beyond breast cancer. This year we’ve teamed up with three other nonprofits which help people affected by breast cancer (The Breast Form Fund, Cancer Resource Foundation, and Luminous Breast Cancer Foundation) to form All4One Alliance, an initiative aimed at expanding each organization’s ability to provide critical services to women with breast cancer.   Products to Support CancerCare’s Breast Cancer Services:   Office
