Vice President Joe Biden Delivers Remarks At Infrastructure Week Kick-Off Event At Bloomberg Government

WASHINGTONMay 5, 2015 /3BL Media/ - Bloomberg Government, in partnership with the Infrastructure Week Steering Committee, announced today that Vice President Joe Biden will deliver remarks at the first event of Infrastructure Week on May 11. This year's theme, Investing in America's Economy, will highlight the innovative policies and investments needed to restore America's infrastructure leadership, rebuild the economy, and create a competitive business environment in this country. 

"The state of the nation's infrastructure and the proposals for financing upgrades and new projects are an important and timely discussion in Washington," says Don Baptiste, Co-Founder and head of Bloomberg Government. Infrastructure Week consists of five days of events, education, advocacy and media focusing national attention on critical infrastructure needs and priorities. The Steering Committee includes the AFL-CIO, the American Society of Civil Engineers, Building America's Future, Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program, the National Association of Manufacturers, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The Infrastructure week kick-off event will include panel conversations around the most important infrastructure issues and opportunities impacting long-term business competitiveness, going beyond near-term challenges for a look at what the infrastructure systems and technologies of the 21st century mean for Americans.
