Wells Fargo Offers Free Financial Education during Military Saves Week

DES MOINES, Iowa, Feb. 12, 2015 /3BL Media/ – As part of its commitment to supporting service members, Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) will offer free online financial education workshops during Military Saves Week (Feb. 23-28) for military members, veterans and their families. Wells Fargo is a proud participant in Military Saves Week, a national campaign that encourages military families to save money and reduce debt.

The free webinars, provided by Wells Fargo’s Military Mortgage Express® program, will take place Feb. 24-26. The instructor-led sessions will cover home financing, managing credit, or budgeting and saving, and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Buying a home may be one of the largest financial decisions for Americans. During this session, participants will learn about the homebuying process, identifying the costs associated with buying a home and types of financing available, including the VA Home Loan Guaranty Program.

How to manage credit responsibly is an important skill to learn. In this session, participants will learn how to manage credit cards and the factors that go into an individual’s credit score.

Participants will learn how to make the most of their money by saving more, creating a spending plan and being a smart shopper.

Ongoing Financial Education

Military members, veterans and their families can access free financial education any time through Wells Fargo’s Hands on Banking®for Military program (www.handsonbanking.org). The program offers self-directed online lessons designed for military ranging from the basics of banking to planning for retirement.

Wells Fargo and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling have joined forces to provide one-on-one financial reviews and deliver Hands on Banking for Military workshops through the NFCC Member

Military Saves Week
