ROCKVILLE, Md., November 9, 2020 /3BL Media/ – Fisher House Foundation, Military Times, and Newman’s Own will announce the 2020 Newman’s Own Awards winners in a ceremony broadcast on MilitaryTimes.com on Nov. 11, 2020 at 12 p.m. EST. The grants, totaling $200,000, will be awarded to six non-profit organizations supporting veterans, military service members, and their families.
Speakers for the ceremony include Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark A. Milley.

170 dog meat trade survivors touch down in the United States; new poll shows a growing majority of South Koreans reject dog meat
It’s a long way from dog meat farmer Il-Hwan Kim’s operation in South Korea to Washington, DC. Yet that’s the amazing journey being taken by 170 dogs rescued by Humane Society International’s Animal Rescue Team. Together with more than two dozen other dogs from previous HSI rescue operations who had been temporarily sheltered in South Korea, they’ll land in the United States on Friday afternoon. I’ll post a few photographs with an update once they’ve arrived.
