This year, 21 organizations have been awarded a grant which will allow them to plant native trees in their communities to help improve climate resiliency on a local scale.

LINCOLN, Neb., October 8, 2021 /3BL Media/ - Homes with trees planted in their yard are worth more — a lot more — than properties without any tree cover, according to a new university study.
The report, conducted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Bureau of Business Research and sponsored by the international nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation, found that the collective value trees add to private home properties amounts to more than $31.5 billion annually nationwide.

Foundation President Dan Lambe to be elevated to president/CEO role
LINCOLN, Neb., September 23, 2021 /3BL Media/ - Arbor Day Foundation CEO Matt Harris announced Thursday he will step down as the global nonprofit’s chief executive in January 2022. Harris notified the Foundation’s Board of Trustees of his decision at its board meeting this week in Lincoln.
The Board of Trustees voted unanimously to elevate Foundation President Dan Lambe to the title of president & CEO effective Jan. 26, 2022, to coincide with Harris’s last day with the Foundation.
