Columbia University Takes the Top Award at National MBA Case Competition Sponsored by Deloitte and the Deloitte Foundation

NEW YORK, January 24, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Deloitte and the Deloitte Foundation announced that a team from Columbia University won the fourth annual National Case Competition held at Deloitte University’s landmark campus for learning and leadership development near Dallas, Texas. The school’s winning team of Sara Brown, Jane Hendrick, Joseph Saia and Will Zvara earned the top scholarship award of $20,000.

Cigna has sponsored the 6th Annual Health Care Management and Delivery Case Challenge. 12 teams of Columbia University graduate students competed by presenting a comprehensive analysis of the challenges of the Timothy Fund, a family foundation that works to reduce emotional distress and the rate of suicide among college students. The event was also supported by the Hay Group.

The inaugural Kenneth Cole Community Engagement Forum entitled “The Power of Community Engagement: Impact, Innovation, and the Individual” is a collaboration between Columbia University and fashion industry executive Kenneth Cole and Kenneth Cole Productions. The guest speakers of this event will serve to inspire and empower the next generation of community leaders by introducing the challenges and opportunities for community building and social change.
