NetSuite.org organizes 2nd annual global week of service to engage employees volunteers around the world
Last week during Global Impact Week, NetSuite’s 2nd annual week of service, more than 1,500 employees (a 47 percent increase from last year) stepped away from their desks to give back to their local communities.
OhioHealth doesn’t see itself as a separate entity from its community. With a system of more than 28,000 physicians, associates, and volunteers, they’re an integral component of their community.
I initially heard from Todd Anderson, OhioHealth’s Client Relations Manager at VolunteerMatch, that the company managed to increase volunteer participation rates by over 4,000 hours in just one year. To be specific, they set a goal to track 18,500 volunteer hours in 2016 — a goal which they met and then surpassed by reaching 22,618 volunteer hours.

During the holiday season, Time Warner Cable and HOLA, a TWC employee network partnered with Home Boy Industries to bring the first “Tamalada” (a tamale party) benefiting those they serve in the City of Los Angeles.
Time Warner Cable has teamed up with Operation Gratitude to create an in-house employee volunteer opportunity for our San Diego based employees. When considering nonprofit partners, Operation Gratitude was selected for the tremendous impact of the organization and for the wonderful cause they serve.
From governments and NGOs to communities in developing markets to children and young people just beginning to build their lives, IBM partners receive the best of IBM skills, expertise and technology through more than $4 million in local Community Grants each year. Volunteer Excellence award winner in Shanghai, En Chang (Anson) Zhoum, mentored fellow people with disabilities, providing them with a role model, tangible job-training skills and potential career opportunities at IBM.
The skies opened and the rain fell, but the impressive crowd would not let the elements dampen their spirits or dissuade them from showing their pride at the 34th Annual Stonewall Columbus Festival and Parade with media sponsor, Time Warner Cable.
