As communities and consumers begin to demand more from organizations to do more to support their communities, many are not only including sustainability in corporate social responsibility plans but are also are setting ambitious goals to reduce their impacts on the environment. And they’re making real strides in achieving these goals.
Herbalife Nutrition Launches Healthy Communities Initiative in Fontana, CA
Seventy-two percent of adults in the San Bernardino County are overweight or obese. Due to this statistic, Acquanetta Warren, Mayor of the City of Fontana, California launched Healthy Fontana, a program created to inform, educate, and promote healthier eating and a more active lifestyle. Healthy Cities has become a social engine of change in the way people eat, exercise and live. The program is built upon four pillars: nutrition, active living, smart growth, and partnerships.
During these unprecedented times, access to good nutrition has been a challenge and the need is greater than ever. The Herbalife Nutrition Foundation has continued their work by providing nourishment, care, and education to children around the world. As well as, Herbalife Nutrition independent distributors have continued to serve and support their customers, essential Herbalife Nutrition employees have kept manufacturing facilities and distribution centers running while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
