International Paper Addresses Food Insecurity by Donating Funds and Boxes to Feeding America®


International Paper, one of the world’s leading producers of renewable, fiber-based packaging and pulp, recently made a $105,000 donation to Feeding America® to bolster year-round hunger-relief efforts across the country. The donation is the result of the company’s employee match program and provides additional funding to help member food banks continue to serve people who face hunger in their communities. This support exceeds the company’s annual $500,000 commitment to Feeding America®, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.

International Paper and The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN) continues its partnership for a multi-year investment to support capacity-building efforts among food banks in Europe and Latin America. 

This support enables food banks in Mexico, Canada, Spain, Poland, Italy, Chile and Guate​mala to enhance their food recovery and redistribution programs to reach more people in need of assistance.

IP, N.C. Coastal Land Trust and Partners Fund a Wildlife Oasis Conserved Along the Cape Fear

Coastal Land Trust to fund the purchase of 265 acres along 1.1 miles of the Cape Fear River in Bladen County. The property is located in the small town of East Arcadia, which is just north of IP’s Global Cellulose Fibers Riegelwood Mill, and hosts mature floodplain forest and upland hardwood ravines.

International Paper Interns Join Volunteer Odyssey for Day of Service

Our 2022 intern class is getting ready to return to school, but we're not done celebrating their contributions. On July 29, International Paper Interns joined Volunteer Odyssey to complete an In-Person and Virtual Intern Day of Service. IP interns across the United States and Canada participated in independent volunteer projects supporting local and national community initiatives. IP interns participated in volunteer projects led by our partners at Reach Out and Read, Soldiers Angels, and the Mid-South Food Bank in Memphis, where they helped pack and sort food donations.
