International Paper and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), through their Forestland Stewards Partnership, awarded six grants totaling more than $1.5 million to restore, enhance and protect longleaf pine forests within the historical longleaf pine range in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. In the past year, there has been a loss in education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Reading is Fundamental (RIF) seeks to inspire more children around the nation to read and regain some of the lost learning. To support these efforts, International Paper is sponsoring the Rally to Read 100 campaign—a six-month initiative that runs from September 2021 to March 2022 to unite classrooms and communities across the country to inspire and motivate children to read 100 books.
