CNH Industrial has recently completed the second edition of its Female Leader Mentoring Program in Brazil. This is just one of the many actions the company is taking in the arena of gender equity. During the program male employees in senior leadership positions shared their experience and knowledge in order to contribute to the professional development of nine women leaders.

My parents immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico and moved to California, where I was born. They eventually settled in Brooklyn, New York, where they worked endless hours doing labor jobs to support me and my two younger sisters as we attended school. My parents may not have been fortunate enough to have a full education but they modeled the value of hard work and dedication to their family, as they wanted us to have all we needed for a successful future. Seeing how hard my parents worked I decided at young age that their efforts will not go to waste.

Once a month, Comcast employee Steven Greene gets in his car and drives two hours to have lunch with 16-year-old Micah, a student he mentors at our company’s Jacksonville, Fla. regional office. He doesn’t mind the drive, and December’s meeting was especially worth it – he got to witness Micah’s big smile when he was gifted a free iPad. “Surprises like this are what make the commitment even more special,” Steven said.
