The Bennettsville, SC team recently made the start of the school year a little more fun for the kids in their community. The facility participated in the area’s free back-to-school event to give back to their community as the largest employer in the area. Team members volunteered at the event, handing out Mohawk backpacks filled with school supplies. Way to go, team!
Our Lavender facility in Rome, GA, regularly provides support and resources in their community through different donation drives and events. Their most recent efforts were to treat over 600 students and staff at West Central Elementary, which is located across the street from the facility, with an end-of-the-school-year shaved ice treat from Kona Ice. Each student got to make their own “creation” with the different flavors offered from the Kona Ice Truck. This idea came from team members that are part of their Lavender Recognition Team.
Summer break means summer camps! Mohawk team members are helping with Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy’s middle school STEM camps, including leading activities like designing an aerodynamic model race car and understanding measurements.
