Vigilant Global has always had a recycling program in place, but decided that it wasn’t enough for a company with a strong commitment to improving the community where we live and work. Since many boroughs in Montreal have started composting initiatives at the residential level, we were happy to bring composting to work as well.

Vigilant Global spent Sunday on the pitch, in hopes of winning the Lion’s Cup at Goal Montreal’s Charity soccer tournament. It was a long day for the players in the blazing sun, but all for a great cause. The tournament was raising funds for Montreal Community Cares and Tyndale St Georges Community Center.

With the help of Friends, families and Sponsors (Bloomberg, Davies Ward & Selerity) Vigilant Global’s Vigi4Cure team completed their fourth journey to Quebec City on July 11-12 with the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. A total of 1,347 participants raised a total of $4.9 million for the Segal Cancer Center at the Jewish General Hospital.

It’s a beautiful evening at Stade Saputo: you’ve got nachos and drink in hand, and a great view from the top bleachers of the Montreal Impact’s fancy footwork. Thousands of soccer fans adopt this game plan every night that their team plays in town, from March to October. The nachos may be replaced by an Italian sandwich or just an ordinary hot dog, but one thing all the fans have in common is, together, they produce a significant amount of waste each game night.
