Freeport-McMoRan’s Community Partnership Panels (CPPs) comprise a broad range of stakeholder group representatives across all sectors of the community. The panels meet regularly to learn about the status of the business and operational activities, and discuss and collaborate on ways to mitigate any challenges.
The United States has a diverse climate and the ability to grow all kinds of crops throughout the country. And while farmers in most of the United States grow a lot of corn, soybeans, wheat and cotton (these crops, called “commodity” or “row” crops, account for almost 240 million acres of the 325 million acres planted to crops), farmers also grow a wide range of fruits and vegetables, from apples to lettuce to pumpkins, and everything in between.

May 20, 2014 /3BL Media/ - The Freeport-McMoRan Foundation awarded a total of $500,000 through the Community Investment Fund to 17 programs in Grant County, New Mexico.
The Community Investment Fund was established in 2011. The 2014 grant recipients are:
· Aldo Leopold Charter School/Grant County Youth Business Incubator – $24,250
The Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Foundation granted $500,000 to thirteen programs from local nonprofit and other organizations in Grant County, NM.
The awards represent Freeport-McMoRan’s efforts to partner with local nonprofits and other organizations working on projects that create sustainable benefits for the community.
