SAN DIEGO, November 11, 2015 /3BL Media/ – UnitedHealthcare is providing $74,000 to help renovate the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department’s new Park De La Cruz Community Center and to create therapy programs for veterans.
UnitedHealthcare’s donation will help transform the previously abandoned building into a facility that will serve 50,000 people a year. In addition to the renovations, the funding will provide adaptive weightlifting equipment and new veterans’ therapy programs at the site.
Partnership With National Recreation and Park Association to Enhance Youth Sports Programs in Baltimore and Serve More Youth in the Community

The garden was made possible by a unique public-private partnership between the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, UnitedHealthcare, CBS EcoMedia and the National Recreation and Park Association. The new gardens will allow area residents the opportunity to get moving outdoors, grow their own fruits and vegetables, and to revitalize their neighborhood park.
Today, The Hershey Company announces the opening of the 2013 season of the Hershey’s Track & Field Games. This is the 36th year for the longest-running youth activity program of its kind in North America. With running, jumping and throwing events for kids ages 9-14, the Games are a great entry point for boys and girls to get active and become engaged in a healthy lifestyle.
