June 14, 2019 /3BL Media/ — Alliance Data has been named to the inaugural list of America’s Best-in-State Employers list for the state of Ohio. Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify the companies liked best by employees in their first-ever ranking of America’s best employers by state. At Alliance Data, our associates are the backbone of our business, and cultivating an inclusive, respectful workplace that develops and empowers them has always been critical to our continued success.
Alliance Data’s stakeholders have diverse priorities and interests in how we conduct business. Just as we are committed to delivering sustainable financial performance – in the short and long term – high-performing companies like ours promote a strong corporate culture which helps create value for our stockholders, customers, employees and communities.
Alliance Data remains committed to managing aspects of our operations that drive long-term value creation and contribute to building a sustainable business for our stockholders, clients, associates and the communities in which we operate. These priorities are fundamental to Alliance Data’s corporate culture and the core principles on which we operate our business every day.
Alliance Data recently hosted a panel discussion at Boston College’s annual Center for Corporate Citizenship Conference on the topic of “Data for Good: Maximizing Impact through Data-Driven Nonprofit Partnerships.” Alliance Data’s Dana Beckman, Director of Corporate Affairs, facilitated a conversation with Tina Weinfurther, President and CEO of nonprofit consulting firm CNM, as well as Daniel Roby, Executive Director of homeless shelter Austin Street Center, on the challenges of both corporate funders and nonprofits in demonstrating return on investment.
Alliance Data expanded its partnership with Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico through a significant data-for-good investment that will revolutionize the way the food bank operates and serves its clients. Almost 16 percent of the diverse New Mexico population is food insecure. Roadrunner serves all 33 New Mexican counties across the state—with the majority of people living in rural areas—making it increasingly difficult to distribute food to those in need.
Alliance Data recognizes that our natural environment is under increasing strain. Climate change and threatened ecosystems and wildlife are creating growing uncertainty for not only businesses, but also society and economies. These issues are real and relevant to our associates, clients and customers. Since 2015, we have invested $1.5 million in environmentally-focused nonprofits moving the needle on this important issue.
