Record number of businesses vied for $100,000 to launch Detroit's next 'big' small business
DETROIT, September 30, 2019 /3BL Media/ – Ten of Detroit’s next big business ideas have been ‘hatched’ after being named a semifinalist in the 2019 ComericaHatch Detroit Contest. The 10 businesses are competing for $100,000 from Comerica Bank, as well as more than $200,000 in pro bono support from Hatch Detroit and its partners.
Encouraging an inclusive culture and embracing the differences in the community have become the foundation for the long-time success of Comerica’s African American Network (CAAN), a pillar of the Comerica Promise that paves the way on how the bank conducts business externally and internally.
CAAN is one of the bank’s many employee engagement groups that lead meaningful involvement in diverse projects inside the bank and throughout the community.
For the third consecutive year, Comerica Bank sponsored the Women In Green Forum’s annual conference in Los Angeles. The annual event promotes women’s leadership across the environmental industry and channels efforts to build a better world where both genders have equal access to and are involved in leadership and decision-making. Over the years, the Women In Green Forum has emerged as the premier conference series, highlighting women's impact on the environmental industry.

Financial education continues to be a cornerstone of Comerica's efforts in helping to build and support stronger communities. Each year, we’re pleased to serve students, adults and business owners by providing opportunities for financial education. In 2018, Comerica led and taught over 800 financial education events across our key markets of Texas, Michigan, California, Arizona and Florida.
