Deckers Brands recently held its fifth biannual Art of Kindness (AOK) week of volunteering where employees across the globe united to make a collective impact on their local communities. During their Fall AOK, Deckers employees volunteered a record of over 5,000 hours at 278 global organizations and nonprofits, exceeding the prior AOK’s record of 4,800 hours.
In celebration of Earth Month, Deckers Brands is proud to spotlight the UGG brand’s partnership with the Savory Institute and Land to Market. UGG, through its grant, has converted over 200,000 acres of land across 40 farms, with a goal of 1 million acres by 2025. The grant helps to fund holistic solutions and world-class implementation to promote soil health and biodiversity, with a goal of transitioning the Australian sheepskin industry to regenerative.
Women make up the majority of factory workers in the footwear and apparel sector, so we partnered with HERproject, in 2016, to bring increased well-being, confidence, and economic potential to the women and men on our supply chain.
Deckers Brands is excited to announce the Deckers Scholarship Program, in partnership with UNCF. Deckers is investing in Black creatives by selecting four annual recipients at historically Black colleges or universities (HBCUs) pursuing careers in business, fashion innovation and design, and sustainable fashion. Each recipient will receive $5,500 each.
