The Southwest Airlines Conservation in Action Tour continues its trek across the United States, celebrating Southwest's 40th Anniversary with 40 service projects nation-wide!  Southwest Airlines is teaming up with the Student Conservation Association to make a difference in the communities it serves.

Most recently, the tour visited New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC.  Volunteers completed a total of 250 service hours.

Thanks to American Eagle, one of the Tour's sponsors, the SCA interns got to see "their faces in lights": an advertisement for the Conservation in Action Tour appeared on a Times Square billboard!

The Southwest Airlines Conservation in Action Tour continues its trek across the United States, celebrating Southwest's 40th Anniversary with 40 service projects nation-wide!  Southwest Airlines is teaming up with the Student Conservation Association to make a difference in the communities it serves.  A custom-wrapped biodeisel RV is traveling the country and leaving a trail of clean parks and well-maintained trails in its wake.

The Conservation in Action Tour, celebrating Southwest Airlines' 40th Anniversary with 40 service projects around the country, made its eleventh and twelfth stops in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Chicago, Illinois.

In Milwaukee, volunteers restored a section of Washington Park's prairie and removed buckthorn from the park's trails.

From Sin City to the Mile High City, the Southwest Airlines Conservation in Action Tour Rolls On

In celebration of its 40th Anniversary, Southwest Airlines is teaming up with the Student Conservation Association (SCA) for the Conservation In Action Tour: 40 Projects for 40 Years to take their commitment to volunteerism and their passion for conservation on the road, literally!  Over the course of the Conservation in Action Tour, Southwest Employees and Customers will work with the SCA to organize and complete 40 conservation projects: one for every year Southwest Airlines has been in business.  The Tour will visit 25 U.S. cities.

The seventh and eighth stop on the tour were Las Vegas, Nevada, and Denver, Colorado.  The RV may have gotten stuck in the mud, but that didn't stop the SCA and Southwest Airlines from making a difference in the Mountain Region.
