Industry Leaders Unite to Share Best Practices, Advance Environmental Sustainability of Sector
October 16, 2013 /3BL Media/ - Beverage industry leaders from across the globe are convening in St. Louis October 14-16 for the Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable (BIER) semi-annual meeting. BIER is a technical coalition of leading beverage companies working together to advance environmental sustainability within the beverage sector. Anheuser-Busch InBev, a founding member of BIER, is hosting the event that brings together representatives across beer, spirits, carbonated soft drinks, juice and bottled water categories.
This week one of the world´s most influential water conventions, World Water Week, is taking place in Stockholm, home of H&M. The leading minds in water are here to discuss the global water challenge and how to tackle it. H&M will be an active voice in the discussions.

St. Paul, Minn., January 23, 2013 /3BL Media/ – Since 2007, the Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable (BIER) has conducted an annual quantitative benchmark to examine water use in the beverage sector. 2012 marks the completion of its sixth annual water use benchmarking study that evaluates the performance of more than 1,600 beverage manufacturing facilities distributed across 6 continents and representing 17 different beverage companies.

President, Albert Straus discusses the farm's energy production system of methane digestion, which utilizes recycled water, and methane captured from cow manure. The methane produced from the breakdown of manure is turned into enough energy to run their whole dairy, power Albert's car and put power back onto the grid. Now that is some powerful poop!
