April 21, 2021 /3BL Media/ - Today, The Wendy’s Company took an important step to help tackle the climate crisis and align with investor expectations on greenhouse gas emission reductions from direct operations and supply chains, according to institutional investors who reached an agreement with the fast food giant.

Gina Francis was still in college when she decided to become a foster parent. She soon got a phone call asking if Mireya, 4, and Christopher, 2, could come stay with her. The siblings had been living in separate foster homes for a year. "I didn’t know how to be a parent. These children didn’t really know how to be siblings. They had been through so much," Gina recalls. "I was young but determined." Mireya and Christopher were only supposed to stay with Gina for two months. Nine years later, they are now an adoptive family of three, living in Illinois.
