One of my tips additionally is to plant native plants in your backyard or wherever you find an area to plant something. Make sure it's native which requires often a lot less water. Even Al Roker has a tip to conserving this precious resource. Hey Al! Turn off the faucet when you're brushing your teeth and you'll save gallons of water over a period of a year.
