Booz Allen Hamilton is proud to participate in and sponsor the 2016 FIRST® Championship, where science, technology, and engineering merge with the thrill of competitive sports! Beginning today at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO, students from around the world will compete at FIRST Championship after several months of preparation and local competition.

Booz Allen is a top employer for STEM professionals and many of its employees donate their free time in support of a broad range of STEM programs and mentorships like FIRST. During the 2015-16 season, employees mentored 72 FIRST teams (about 1,600 youth) across the US—each team received a financial sponsorship to support FIRST participation. Earlier this year, the firm was designated a FIRST Strategic Partner—one of only 18 organizations to achieve such recognition.

Of the 72 teams Booz Allen sponsored, fourteen succeeded in making it to FIRST Championship! They are:

  • Bovine Intervention, Walkersville High School, Maryland
  • RoboBees, James A Forest Tech Center, Maryland
  • Autodidactic Intelligent Minors (A.I.M.), Home Schooling Community, Virginia
  • The Body Electric, Walt Whitman High School, Maryland
