Franklin Templeton has been named the winner in Gender Diversity Awards 2021 for the Regional Leaders – US, 50–100 managers category, making the second consecutive year the firm has been recognized by Citywire.

LeeAnn Sims, D&I Director, represented the company at the December 8 award ceremony.

The awards recognize fund management groups that have made progress on getting more women into fund management.

To draw up the shortlist, Citywire used data from its Alpha Female report to look at the percentage of female managers at fund groups and the turnover rates of men and women over the past 10 years.

A seven-strong judging panel decided the winners, after looking at responses that firms provided by answering a questionnaire. These range from their company-wide gender diversity practices to how they incorporate gender issues into their investment decisions.
