Thank you to our friends who ran a Virtual 10K with us from August 3-7 this year. The combined impact of our $10,000 Fund partners, runners, Whole Foods Market® Team Members, virtual runners and more, this year added up to $140,000 raised for impoverished women all over the world to start their own businesses. That equals about 748 average first microloans! Our team was thrilled to celebrate the second year of the Virtual 10K Run, adding a fun run in Austin, Texas and partnering with our sponsors to create excitement in cities all over the USA.

Team members raise $110,000; locations serve as event pit stops in fifth consecutive year as sponsor
ATLANTA, July 13, 2017 /3BL Media/ - Manheim team members nationwide rallied to support the 23rd anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America May 13-19, 2017. For the fifth consecutive year, the brand was a presenting sponsor, raising a record-breaking $110,000 to support the Ride’s primary benefactor, Victory Junction, a camp dedicated to providing life-changing experiences to children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses.
Top golfers from three South African countries have competed in a tournament sponsored by the Debmarine Namdeb Foundation to the tune of N$200,000 (US$15,500).
Twenty-four professional and 14 amateur golfers from Namibia, South Africa and Zambia battled for the top honours at the Namdeb Sperrgebiet Open. It was played over 54 holes on three days (9-11 June) in Oranjemund.
The Foundation sponsored the event as part of its social commitment to sports development in Namibia.
Hafeni Nghinamwaami, Golf Director of the Namibia Golf Tour, said the country had about 29 professional players and the tour would give them an opportunity to collect enough points for entry into top competitions in the region.

Carnival Cruise Line and the Houston Texans teamed up to host the first-ever Summer Kickoff event recently with a variety of fun activities for kids at the Havard Boys & Girls Club in Houston.
The event also included a $10,000 donation from Carnival Cruise Line to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. Additionally, for every Houston Texans Bear sold at a Build-A-Bear Workshop stores in the Houston area during the month of July, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs.
